Farmers hand-grow “Super Wood Ear” mushrooms for HIURA D+ on JAS-certified organic farms in Japan.
Prepare Mushroom Substrate
Super Wood Ear mushrooms grow on pesticide-free wheat bran and sawdust substrates inside carefully climate-controlled facilities. As a result, they thrive in an ideal, chemical-free environment. Farmers follow strict quality and hygiene standards, allowing the mushrooms to fully mature in about one month.
Harvest
Farmers gently handpick wood ear mushrooms at peak ripeness to preserve their crisp texture. Then, they return the growing blocks to the shelves for reuse, maintaining consistent crop quality.
Dry
Farmers carefully arrange wood ear mushrooms in sunlit greenhouses. There, the mushrooms sun-dry naturally, which in turn boosts their vitamin D content.
Reuse Growing Blocks
Farmers reuse growing blocks several times. Afterward, they recycle the spent blocks as organic fertilizer or repurpose them as livestock feed.
