After harvesting cloud ear mushrooms, the used blocks still retain many nutrients.

So, this summer, our team decided to test their effectiveness by mixing the used blocks with soil to grow cucumbers.

First, we quickly went to a home center and bought seeds. Then, we set up two planters:

• Left: regular vegetable soil only

• Right: soil mixed halfway with used mushroom blocks

Just one week later, we already noticed a clear difference in growth.

Specifically, the right planter with the mushroom blocks showed much better growth.

Furthermore, five days after that, the cucumbers grew so large they couldn’t fit in the camera frame!

In fact, some had already started bearing fruit early. We harvested them and shared fresh cucumbers with everyone at the company.

Therefore, if you’re planning a home garden next year, we highly recommend trying this method.
